Stephenie Meyer's prom-otional genius

Hey, did you hear about burger interviewee Stephenie Meyer's prom? How cool is this: she had a formal evening for her fans. It was completely sold-out, with tons of vampire-obsessed teenies turning up in tafetta  and tiaras to meet the author of bloody best-selling YA vampire novels Twilight and New Moon...

If you ask us, this was a pretty ingenious way to let the world know that Stephenie's got a new one coming in August, Eclipse. We'll try to get her back to the burger for a sit-down and a giveaway...in the meantime, here's a sneak peek at the cover...and we hear that if you go to a bookstore and pick up the new "special editions" of her last novel, New Moon, you'll find the first chapter of Eclipse...

i love the first two books and i cant wait for this one and, i love the cover it is sooo simple its cool.

The teen volunteers at my library got me hooked on Twilight - one of them was only semi-joking when she chastized me for stopping reading it in order to come to work!!

This is a fab blog for a YA lit fan like me!!

i wonder what happens in this one, although i know it's gonna be good! the thing is it's coming out in time for my birthday!!

oh my gosh!!!!!! i cant wait for this one! gosh these kinds of books just suck me in! i cant stop reading it!!
i love romance/vampire stuff!!!
they better make this into a movie!!!
i think it would be better then harry potter~!!

i am so excited for eclipse to come out! my best friend and i just love this series (i introduced it to her) and we can't wait! i was reading someone else's posting (don't remember where on this website, though) and i agree that mrs. meyer should have made the character of bella so dependent on having edward around. i mean, he's great and all, but she should have had better composure in front of her father, friends, and in her emails to her mother. she had a life before she met him, you know. overall, though, the books are great, and i will definitely be reading all the books that follow twilight and new moon!

and p.s.-i do think if twilight was a movie series (like harry potter) you'd get a lot of girls (and their indignant boyfriends) to come and see the mysteries unfold. i think what with all of the girls coming to watch, it would battle popularity with harry potter! and because the books are fantastic, of course. also, does anyone know mrs. meyer's email address? she took it off her website before i could send her anything! and i want to send her something!!! i want to talk to her really badly, so if you find it out, email her and make her put it back on her website! (and make her put it on her website because i don't look at this website very often).

ay dios i just saw it at the book store yesterday and i almost had a hernia i was so excited!!! But Bella is way too...how can i put this...cling-y? But whatever, i think that the public has waited long enough for some closure to this story!!! (and if they do make a movie out of the books, i will be stong and not have my mental image destroyed by hollywood and it's insatiable greed!!)

OMJ!!! (o my Joe) I Love this book so much if i could i would live in Bella's world..This book leaves you wanting more of Stephenie meyer's writings..
